ALEX GOSMORE

Alex is a freelance dancer specialised in Contemporary dance currently based in Bristol, the city where he grew up. He started dancing with Rise Youth Dance before moving to Leeds to train.

During his career so far he has had the pleasure of working with choreographers such as Sita Ostheimer, Alesandra Seutin, Akram Khan, Gary Clarke and Vicki Igbokwe.

Alex’s teaching/choreographic practice involves finding joy and pleasure in movement. Working from the inside-out rather than the outside-in. Finding texture, groove and freedom through improvisation to then apply this to set structures.
