Miranda is a director making work through new writing, devised work, musicals and classic texts. She has additional skills in movement direction and dramaturgy.

Miranda has directed new writing for the National Theatre, Manchester Royal Exchange, Nottingham Playhouse, the Bush Theatre, the Almeida, Talawa Theatre, Bristol Old Vic and Soho Theatre. She attended the National Theatre studio director’s course in 2015, and was a director on the Old Vic 12 in 2019. Miranda has also been a script reader for the National Theatre and was a Judge for the Bruntwood prize in 2022.

Her awards include an Olivier Award for best direction for co-directing on Death of a Salesman 2020, and a best direction nomination for an Evening Standard award for the same production, the production also received a Black British theatre award for Best Production Miranda also received another Black British Theatre award for best director for her production and breathe… Rocket’s and Blue Lights written by Winsome Pinnock for BBC Radio 3 won an Oncomm award for best radio drama and was then staged at the National Theatre. She recently directed Death of a Salesman on Broadway, and The Beekeeper of Aleppo opened at the Nottingham Playhouse and has just finished touring the UK. Miranda is currently directing Lynn Nottage’s Mlima’s Tale at the Kiln Theatre.
