NATALIE SIMONE

Natalie Simone is an award-nominated British-Italian Theatre Director. She originally trained as an Actor at East 15 before completing a Masters in Directing at The Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. Since then, she’s worked widely across the UK and internationally as a theatre-maker.

Natalie was nominated for Best Director at the Off West End Awards for her production of The Ugly One by Marius von Mayenburg and was the 2024 Jerwood Assistant Director at the Young Vic. She’s worked with theatres such as Sheffield Theatres, Bristol Old Vic, Soho Theatre, Ustinov Studio, Marylebone Theatre, Royal & Derngate and Nottingham Playhouse.

Much of Natalie’s work is influenced by European theatre, shaped by her training in Lecoq & Gaulier, where devising is central to the creative process. She is drawn to stories that explore the female experience in ways that feel surprising and truthful.

Natalie directs new writing, adapt classics, and create interdisciplinary work exploring the relationship between body, text, architecture, music, and design.
