Paloma Oakenfold

Acting Tutor

Paloma trained as an actor at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and went on to study an MFA in Theatre Directing at Birkbeck. Following this, she was Resident Associate Director at the Lyric Hammersmith alongside Artistic Director Sean Holmes. She has directed shows across the UK (Soho Theatre, Lyric Hammersmith, Battersea Arts Centre, Wardrobe Bristol, Underbelly Edinburgh and Vault). She often works as an Associate Director and Creative Support Worker for Access All Areas theatre company and has worked on shows such as Faith, Hope and Charity (National Theatre) and Jitney (Old Vic). As a performer she starred in Chewing Gum (E4), The Borgias (ShowTime) and the Fringe First award-winning show Glittery Clittery (Fringe Wives Club).


Paloma is co-founder of Bareface, a theatre company of disabled artists. Their inaugural show, ‘Fix Us’ toured the UK, and their short film ‘A Night of Mistakes’ was award nominated, funded by the Arts Council, and co-starred Lily James, Tom Stourton & Charly Clive.


Paloma started working in drama schools in 2015. Paloma has been an acting tutor/ visiting director at Guildhall, Arts Ed, Rose Bruford, and Collective Acting Studio. She was Associate Dean of ALRA, Head of Fourth Monkey Bristol, and Head of Foundation at the Oxford School of Drama.
