Originally from Sydney, Shae Rooke is a Bristol-based theatre maker, performer, producer, facilitator and founding member of Roustabout Theatre. She has over ten years professional experience spanning sketch comedy, autobiographical theatre, clown, new writing and family theatre.
For Roustabout, devising and performing highlights include Luna: A Play About the Moon and Dinosaurs and All That Rubbish, which toured twice nationally to venues including the Southbank Centre, the Lowry, the Lyric, the egg, and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Outside of Roustabout, Shae has collaborated with theatre practitioners including Donnacadh O’Briain, Angela de Castro and Audrey Sheffield, as well as UK based and international companies including Closer Each Day, ArtBomb and tiata fahodzi. Notable performer credits include Fluffy (Sydney Festival), One Small Step (Oxford Playhouse UK/US tour) and the award-winning This is Where We Live (UK/US Tour).
